I never expected nor could have imagined that a side project of mine would land up published, but after a lot of help from some awesome people, I am happy to share it with all of you!
As most of you know, I studied computer science, worked at Locu (acquired by GoDaddy), and have worked in tech investing. In all of these settings, I recognized that the non-technical people I worked with often struggled to grasp the basics of the technology. To me, that's a big problem! Technology is changing our lives in ways none of us could have imagined, and I think everyone should understand at least the basics of how things work.
I've always been interested in innovation, and I view education and technology as key ingredients. I thought a great way for me to express my passions was through writing. I started putting together a need-to-know primer of sorts on Internet startups to share with friends. Long story short, I put together enough material to attract a publisher and they finally convinced me to push 'print'.
I would love to share more about this journey with you all, but I hope you can support the cause of making technology more accessible by getting a copy of the book, spreading the news to your friends, and visiting the book's site at http://www.speakingtech.com/. All book proceeds will be donated to causes supporting tech education.
